Simple retouch with curves

I have some old pictures of me from … I donno, probably Sears or somewhere similar that did professional photos. In this one I was about 2… well, at least I know the dress is the same one worn at my second birthday party. As it is an old pic from the 70s and presumably not on the best paper, and certainly not treated super well over the years with hanging on walls without concern about UVrays or stashed in boxes and moved around… well, it’s not in the best shape. Not bad, considering - but not great.

So I am scanning many of these old pictures in and doing some restoration/retouch on them. The first is just some simple curves adjustments… mainly killing all that red (bet you couldn’t guess).

It’ll take a bit longer to repair the apparent fun I had with a pen and other blemishes. When finished I’m thinking my parents (and maybe grandparents) might like a print that hasn’t seen 30 years of damage.
