The Anatomy of Typography

My service project for Senior Seminar is to design some pieces to go in the Design Department at Peace College for promotional/educational purposes… pieces to be on display when there isn’t other student work to display. The hall in 3rd floor Frasier is kinda … white … when it doesn’t have anything up. Rather uninspiring.

This project has taken many twists and turns in terms of medium and materials. The concept was solid from the start, but implementation has been… to put it delicately… a bit difficult. I’ve finally, after starting down about a half dozen paths, gotten it nearly to the point of assembly. Just a bit more work for my substrate and cutting out my pieces (the laser has been a little fritzy lately, so this will have to be done by hand).

But since noone has been able to see any semblance of this set of pieces other than drawings and miniature versions (which are pretty sweet, I must say), I figured since I finally have some photos of artifacts, I’d give a glimpse.

Here’s the jumbled mess. More is available in the set on flickr.
